Meet Tore – Expanding the Energy Horizon

Tore has joined Alotta to explore land-based solutions. What that will become, we’ll share in time. For now, this is a conversation about mindset, ambition, and the kind of thinking that shapes what comes next.

When I ask Tore who he is beyond the title, he doesn’t hesitate.
He talks about building. About improvement. About the energy he finds in early phases — when things aren’t polished yet, when systems don’t work perfectly, when bugs appear.
“That’s where innovation happens,” he says, almost smiling. “If everything works from day one, you’re probably not pushing hard enough.”
He describes himself as someone who thrives in that space — experimenting early, adjusting fast, refining continuously. For him, progress isn’t a straight line. It’s iteration. Try. Learn. Improve. Repeat.
It’s a mindset that fits the moment we’re in.
The global energy transition is accelerating. Energy demand keeps rising while fossil fuels are being phased out. The gap between those two realities creates both urgency and opportunity.
That’s where land-based solutions come in.
When I ask what makes that space compelling, he leans forward slightly.
“The scale,” he says. “It’s still underdeveloped compared to other segments. There’s enormous potential. And with Alotta’s technology and operational strength, we’re in a position to build something that truly matters.”
He is careful not to reveal too much about what’s taking shape. But when I ask what kind of future he’s working toward, his direction is clear.
“A future where technology and nature don’t compete — they coexist. Where progress doesn’t mean compromise. If we use technology responsibly and make smart decisions early, we can create solutions that strengthen both business and environment.”
It’s not just vision. It’s ambition grounded in execution.
Tore is drawn to technically demanding challenges — the kind that feel slightly uncomfortable at first. The projects with high impact. Real consequences. Real upside.
“I’m motivated by challenges where success actually matters,” he says. “Where we’re not just building something new, but something better.”
And better, for him, is not about being different. It’s about outperforming what already exists. Delivering value from day one. Seeing the product through the customer’s eyes. Practical. Profitable. Scalable.
“Innovation without value doesn’t last.”
When the conversation turns to what excites him most about the years ahead, the answer comes quickly: momentum.
Renewable energy. Battery development. Smarter systems. Everything is accelerating.
“To be part of that shift — contributing to cleaner, more intelligent solutions globally — that’s incredibly motivating.”
But technology alone is never enough. When I ask what he values most in a team, his answer is immediate.
“Trust. Respect. Openness. The best ideas often start as bold — even controversial — ones. If people feel safe challenging each other, that’s when real innovation happens.”
That belief in empowered teams is part of what drew him here in the first place.
At Alotta, ideas don’t sit still. They move. They are tested, built, refined. People are trusted to take ownership. There is speed — and there is courage.
What stands out to me is not only Tore’s competence, but his energy. His willingness to explore, to challenge, to improve.
That mindset is exactly what we need as we expand into land-based solutions. Big shifts require brave thinking — and teams that trust each other enough to aim high.
I’m truly excited for what we’re about to create together.
